AI Development Projects

Fixed scope. Fixed price. 2 to 6 weeks.

You bring a defined problem. We take it from discovery to deployment, with a demo every week along the way. Most projects ship in 2 to 6 weeks.

What's included

  • Fixed scope and fixed price
  • Discovery through deployment
  • Weekly demos
  • 2 to 6 week delivery

One fixed price, stated in the proposal.

Who this is for, and who it isn't

A good fit

  • You can describe the problem in a paragraph and you know what done looks like.
  • You want one price agreed before work starts, not an hourly meter.
  • You need it in weeks. Most of what we take on ships in two to six.
  • You want the thing running in production, not a prototype to evaluate.

Not a fit

  • The scope is still being discovered. Fixing a price around a moving target serves neither of us — take an embedded engineer instead.
  • The system needs to keep evolving after launch. That is ongoing work, and ongoing work is the other service.
  • You want the cheapest possible build. We are senior-only and priced accordingly.
  • The finish line depends on a decision nobody has made yet.

Why fixed scope, and what it costs you

A fixed price is a real constraint on both sides. It is worth being explicit about which side each part falls on.

/01

What you get

The price in the proposal is the price you pay. Scope, timeline and cost are all agreed before any work starts, and a demo lands every week so you are never waiting to find out.

/02

What we get

A finish line. Fixed scope is what makes it possible to promise weeks rather than quarters — the boundary is the thing doing the work.

/03

What it costs you

Flexibility. A change to the scope is a change to the quote, handled as an explicit conversation rather than absorbed quietly. If you expect that to happen often, the embedded model is the better fit and we will say so.

/04

Why we cap it at six weeks

Past roughly six weeks an estimate stops being an estimate. Anything longer we either split into a defined phase with its own finish line, or move to a weekly engagement — and we would rather say that upfront than discover it in week nine.

Questions

Who owns the code and IP?

You do. Everything produced in an engagement, code, documentation, and related work product, transfers to the client under contract terms we agree on together. Nothing stays locked to us.

How is this different from hiring an agency?

There is no account-manager layer. Senior engineers work directly inside your repo, your Slack, and your tools, so the person you talk to is the person writing the code. You get working software every week, not status decks.

How fast can we start, and how long does delivery take?

Usually within the week. We start with an intro call and a free AI Fit Assessment to scope the work. Most fixed-scope projects take 2 to 6 weeks from kickoff to delivery.

How does pricing work?

Forward-deployed engineering runs on a weekly or monthly rate, quoted after the assessment. Fixed-scope projects get a fixed quote, so the price you sign is the price you pay. The AI Co-Profit Plan is a separate outcome-based track on our main site, with its own qualification process.
